Since the beginning of history teachers exist. They are not only persons inside the classroom and held a whiteboard marker in one hand and discuss lessons. They also take the form of an elder in a village a long time ago that teaches young men to be good hunters and provider and young women to be good housewives. Since, men developed and get advanced knowledge and technologies the teaching job also transform to fit the society and the advanced age. It is sad to say that teachers are not compensated well. In third world countries teachers receive a wage that could not almost pay well for their immediate family. So, teachers find ways to evolve themselves as the economy of first world countries get global. Language teachers were then born and get in demand as countries all over the world wanted to communicate and do business with each other.

Nowadays, language teachers also study to get a higher education to be dynamic and be able to get another job beside their teaching jobs. Here are some of the jobs for language teachers. Take your pick and earn higher wage.

* A second-language teacher. A high number of teachers are hired in the countries of Europe for teacher who could speak another second-language. Countries like France, Italy, German, Spain and even U.S. needed teacher they could hire as language teacher.

* Tutor. A hired private tutor is the best way of dealing your first days in learning a second language. You hire a quality and qualified tutor to get your money’s worth. Remember by giving one to one English classes, you can make your own timetable and be completely flexible - a great way to earn an income which supports study!

* A material editor/writer. Publishers of books, magazine, newspapers really need language teachers to publish quality papers.

* Translator/interpreter. International business firms and company need a person who translates documents to a language that they could understand and interpreter to be able to communicate with employees or with foreign business partners. These jobs could really earn very high.

* School counselor. An international school or universities that deal with foreign students should have at least one counselor who knows a second language so that it could help with the dealing of the students.

* Researcher. This is the best sideline profession for me. Research on different fields like in medicine, law, and even television programs (like the CNN new program) hire researchers to be accurate with their data.

* Travel Agent. Once you’ve got a grasp of the language, why not help other people on their travels. You could even work abroad and be the top consultant for journeys to your own country. Imagine working in an agencia de viajes in sunny Spain and being able to confidently talk and advise about your homeland. And furthermore, learn about all round the world to plan your own travels with ease!

* Owner of a language school. Putting up your own language school is one of the most compensating businesses. Agencies that hire workers to be deployed abroad also hire the services of language school to train worker of the language of the country they are going to work for.

* Teacher trainer. As the demand of teachers abroad increases teachers became trainers for teachers.

* Tourism Industry Whether it is in a hotel or a tourism hotspot, being able to communicate with tourists in your job can be really quite enjoyable - meeting people from all over the world. It could be you are working on the pokern tables in Mallorca (a german favourite), in a water theme park in Spain or as a tour guide - you’ll meet a tonne of people and certainly not regret your decision to learn languages!

Compensation is not the only reason why teachers also have a part time job or dual-duty but also the demand for good and quality teachers. These jobs are just some of the so many jobs that language teachers can do.
